There are several solutions to the high water temperature of the excavator. The main components and troubleshooting that affect the engine water temperature are as follows:
1. The water pump is abnormal. Open the water tank cover, start the engine, make the engine run alternately at high and low speeds, check whether the water in the water tank has obvious rolling phenomenon, if it can be considered that the water pump is normal.
2. The thermostat is abnormal. Remove the thermostat and check the opening temperature of the thermostat. Hang the thermostat and thermometer in the water container, then heat the container, check the starting temperature of the thermostat, continue heating, pay attention to the fully open temperature of the thermostat, and check whether these two temperatures are within a reasonable range. Finally, stop heating, and when the water temperature drops to 82°C, check whether the thermostat is turned off. Otherwise, the thermostat will need repair or replacement.
3. The fuel supply time is incorrect. If the fuel supply time is incorrect, the engine will be difficult to start, the power will drop, and there will be abnormal smoke emission. There will be obvious knocking sound when the fuel supply time is too early or too late.
4. Water tank (including radiator). Check whether there is dirt on the surface of the water tank, and whether the cooling air passage and water flow passage in the water tank are unobstructed. Open and clean if necessary.
5. The amount of cooling water and oil is too small. Check the amount of water and oil, and make up if it is insufficient.
6. Insufficient air intake (1) Check whether the air filter element is blocked (2) Whether the air filter inlet is blocked (3) Whether the turbocharger is damaged (4) Whether the connection between the turbocharger and the engine air inlet is damaged . If so, appropriate measures should be taken to resolve it.
7. Overload operation. Check for prolonged overloading of the machine. If yes, switch to normal operation immediately and check whether the water temperature is normal after a while.
8. Engine fouling. Check the engine casing and waterways for excessive limescale and clean if necessary.
9. The fan is abnormal. Check whether the fan blades are damaged, severely deformed or installed backwards, and whether there is vibration. If so, rule it out immediately.
10. The water temperature of the excavator is high, and the water-cooled engine of the air guide and heat dissipation system is mainly cooled by suction air. The air on both sides of the water tank cannot produce convection, and the other parts should be separated except for the connection of the cooling air duct of the water tank. What cannot be ignored is that after a period of use of many machines, the blocking material is seriously aged and peeled off, so that there are ventilation passages around the water tank, which reduces the airflow through the water tank and causes high temperature. In actual maintenance, this situation is relatively common.
(1) Press the fan belt by hand to check whether the tightness is normal. If the belt is loose, the fan belt should be further checked for slippage.
(2) Excessive wear of moving parts After the moving parts such as cylinder liner and bearing bush are worn too much, extra heat will be generated when the machine moves. If these heats exceed a certain value, the water temperature will also be too high.
When the cylinder liner is excessively worn, it is often accompanied by the following phenomena: 1. The engine power drops; 2. The phenomenon of burning oil; 3. Excessive exhaust emissions.
Excessive bearing wear is often accompanied by: ①The oil temperature rises rapidly; ②After the oil temperature rises, the oil pressure drops significantly; ③There is a dull percussion sound.
The above are several solutions to the high water temperature of the excavator, but it should be noted that the problem of excessive engine water temperature is often not only caused by the above one or two factors, but is due to a combination of factors. Therefore, we should learn to make comprehensive judgments in different situations and analyze the reasons.
